Last week VSL had the pleasure of hosting our client event at the newly opened Albert's Schloss on Shaftesbury Avenue; the perfect way to kick off Oktoberfest celebrations. Following incredible success in Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool they've finally opened their doors in the iconic West End.

This vibrant venue, inspired by traditional Bavarian beer halls and German cuisine, offers a truly unique setting. We were delighted to welcome 40 of our esteemed clients to the Ludwig’s Tavern; a private mezzanine within the venue for an intimate showcase event. The décor features rustic wooden beams, cosy winter furnishings, Bavarian ornaments, which perfectly encapsulates this bier and pleasure palace. The warm and inviting bar and restaurant combined with the electric atmosphere from the live music and performances, creates an immersive experience like no other. 

There are a range of event spaces and areas available for private and semi-private hire at the venue. Ludwig’s Tavern is a private mezzanine space for up to 120 guests and overlooks the main venue. The Vault is a private room similar to that of a classic German beer cellar. Decorated with antique steins, and authentic Bavarian décor which perfectly captures the spirit of a traditional bier-Keller for up to 50 guests. Both of which allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the venue, whilst also remaining separate from the main bier haus. However, the star of the show is undoubtedly the 'Viking' tables centrally located in front of the stage. These bier-hall-inspired long tables can seat parties of up to 18 guests, as well as being encouraged to dance on the benches which is especially fun.

The food at Albert's Schloss is nothing short of excellent and was truly a highlight of the night too. Guests were showcased the venues first bowl food offering which saw a variety of traditional German dishes; showcasing the very best of hearty winter food. The extensive drink selection also impressed guests with innovative cocktails and a range of craft beers on tap – quite literally.

The entertainment also played a pivotal role in the success of the evening. Throughout the event, live performances certainly captured the attention of our guests. From sausage eating competitions, to brass bands playing all the latest hits, the atmosphere perfectly portrayed a lively Oktoberfest setting.
