With the shorter days and grey skies that typify January and February, staging your conference in a new or contemporary space with clean lines, natural daylight and the latest lighting and technologies should brighten the feel and put delegates in a fresh mindset for receiving those all-important start-of-year messages and plans for the year ahead.

2024 saw the launch of our Sustainable Venues accreditation scheme and we encourage all clients to consider how best to reduce the carbon impact of their events.  New venues are generally good at energy reduction schemes and choosing conference venues in London will result in far lower carbon emissions from travel than out-of-town venues where car usage will be considerably higher.

Here are our five top picks of the latest conference venues to open in London:

The Minster Building

Located next to the River Thames and just a short walk from Tower Hill and Monument. The Minster Building is a new development set in the heart of the City. Bought to you by the renowned Cavendish venues group, this impressive space is set across two floors including a large Auditorium, two breakout rooms and an open-plan exhibition space. The interior is bright, clean and modern, and additional breakout rooms are positioned throughout the venue for private catering options, as well as allowing for up to around 25 exhibition stands in the Minster Gallery.

Park Hyatt River Thames

Park Hyatt London River Thames provides an outstanding backdrop for corporate events, with a prime location and cutting-edge facilities. Recently opened, the hotel boasts seven flexible meeting spaces, along with the impressively spacious Grand Ballroom, each of which equipped with advanced AV technology to ensure any event runs smoothly. The Grand Ballroom can host an impressive 500 guests in a theatre style, while Ballrooms 1, 2, and 3 can be divided for more intimate breakout sessions.

The Peninsular

Situated in the heart of Belgravia, overlooking Hyde Park Corner and the Wellington Arch the Peninsular boasts a stunning location. The largest event space, the St. George Ballroom, offers a luxurious setting for formal events and showcases and many other corporate occasions. With impressive 6-meter coffered ceilings, modern decor, an adjoining pre-function area, and dedicated lifts (including two spacious enough for cars), the ballroom can host banquets for up to 450 seated guests and is perfect for large exhibitions, corporate conferences and awards.

This venue is the latest addition to the Convene portfolio in London. Covering over 45,000 square feet across two floors, the Convene Sancroft can accommodate up to 1,200 guests across the entire venue. This makes it the largest single above-ground meeting room in the City of London. Along with 7 spacious meeting rooms, Convene offers a flexible space where guests can enjoy in-house catering, in-room A/V tech and a helpful on-site events planning team perfect for conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and large corporate receptions.

Art’otel Hoxton London

Following the astounding success of their sister property in Battersea, The Art’otel Hoxton will feature a range of versatile event spaces on the 24th floor; offering breathtaking views over the city. The spaces are designed to host a wide variety of events, including AGM talks, presentations, and exhibitions. A unique point worth mentioning is the hotel's plush, state-of-the-art 60-seat auditorium, ideal for screenings or perhaps product launches. The 12 event spaces will provide more than enough event space for up to 300 guests.
