VSL Host Charity Lunch for Event Industry Leaders

Over 50 of the UK’s top event industry owners and directors recently gathered at OXO2 for Venue Search London’s second lunch in aid of their chosen charity, Akwaaba Volunteers. The foundation supports over 300 children in Accra, Ghana via school scholarships, sports and vocational programmes.
The lunch, which raised over £4,000 for the charity, was kindly sponsored by Camm and Hooper (the operators of OXO2), with additional support from production and furniture suppliers, Vibration Production and Yahire.
The event was co-hosted by Mike Kershaw from Kershaw Partners, who chaired an interesting business discussion around how the event industry's approach to sales has evolved over recent years.
ABOUT AKWAABA VOLUNTEERS
Our Founders, Sam and Dommie Gill have volunteered with the charity for several weeks and Venue Search London continue to support their great works with corporate sponsorship.
Akwaaba Volunteers have been actively working in Ghana since 2016, positively impacting young people and families in the community. The charity offer the chance to have a life-changing experience while contributing to the mission of creating a brighter future for the youth. They believe every individual deserves access to education, healthcare, and a safe environment where children can be children, be treated with respect, and dream big.
