With a variety of London go-to areas for partying, dining and holding private events and meetings, it can be hard to pin down the area of London that best suits you and your style of event! VSL are here to help with our location series over the next few weeks. First up, the West End...

One of London’s finest areas (and Sophie's favourite!), the West End covers Oxford Street, Marble Arch, Leicester Square, Soho, and Covent Garden and was first named in the early 19th century. It is known for its theatres and nightlife and is viewed as the top place for tourists to visit. The West End surrounds the famous tourist attractions of the National Gallery, London Transport Museum, and The British Museum.  If you’d like to experience a full-service hotel and stay in the heart of the most exclusive part of London with shopping, nightlife, and theatres on your doorstop, then a West End venue is the place for you! Covent Garden 

Covent Garden is a lively and vibrant destination for anyone who enjoys shopping, theatre, restaurants, bars, history, and culture. Things to see in and around Covent Garden include London Transport Museum, The Royal Opera House, and Covent Garden Market. Some of the newest and most exciting options in the heart of this West End district include Middle Eight and The NoMad.

Soho

The lively and bustling streets of Soho have a full-on nightlife, dining experience and shopping as well as theatres and live music… day or night you will never be short of something to explore! Mayfair 

An affluent area of the West End which stands towards Hyde Park near the City of Westminster features elegant houses, hotels, and restaurants as well as a mixture of independent boutiques and traditional pubs as well as cool modern art galleries. Check out the brand new Miro Mayfair, a restaurant, bar & lounge hidden underground in the heart of Mayfair on Old Burlington Street.

Piccadilly

Piccadilly is a road in the City of Westminster, London, to the south of Mayfair, between Hyde Park Corner in the west and Piccadilly Circus in the east.
Famous for its neon signs, different displays and the Eros fountain located in the middle of this road junction, which is now one of the city's top landmarks. Why not book a meeting or dinner at the luxuriously chic Hotel Cafe Royal or host a summer reception in the stunning Conservatory at The Dilly.
