The Rio cinema is a 100 year old art deco style cinema located in Dalston on Kingsland Road in Hackney . This independent cinema is a local institution and the auditorium space is now available to HIRE for conferences , meetings, rehearsals, comedy nights , events and private screenings. The classic cinema feel is reinforced by the sweeping curves of the auditorium, plush red seats and traditional red curtains that sweep back to reveal the large screen. Screening equipment available allows for state of the art digital projection and also traditional 35 mm. There are 2 tiers of seating , stalls seating for 188 and the circle which holds 214 people.
